In the tutotial we
will overview some techniques that will help you draw exciting
animations in NoviiAnimator.
We will create a falling and breaking bottle animation. You
can download the result of
this tutorial.
1.
First, launch NoviiAnimator and start a new animation by tapping the
New button in the Index Screen.
2.
You are now in the Edit mode. The default tool is a pencil and the
color is black.
3.
Select the thinner brush size by tapping the Brush
size selector.
4.
Draw the contour of the bottle using the Pencil
tool.
5.
If the contour is not smooth enough you can edit it in the zoom mode
by selecting the Zoom tool and tapping on
the screen.
6.
Tap the Color selector tool and select the
blue color for the bottle.
7. Fill the bottle using the Fill tool.
8.
You can also add some light and dark colors to make yhe bottle look
more realistic.
9.
We will also need the shadow image just below the bottle - it will
indicate the floor level. Turn the zoom off by tapping the Zoom tool
again and draw the shadow.
10.
Duplicate the current frame by tapping the Dublicatebutton. Now, the frame number is 2.
11.
Activate the Onion skin mode. By default it
shows the previous frame, but you will not see it now because the
previous frame is just the same as the current one.
12.
Tap the Selection tool and select the bottle area.
Then move it down a little. To move the selected area straight vertically
you can push and hold the Up button on your handheld while moving.
13.
While moving you can see the previous frame dimmed - that's how Onion
Skin works.
You can also make the shadow a little bigger to produce a more realistic
falling effect.
14.
Duplicate this frame and move the bottle down again. Make the shadow
bigger, if you started doing so.
15.
Repeat these actions until the bottle reaches the floor (shadow).
You will get something like this:
16.
Go to the last frame and create a new one by tapping the New frame
button. Turn the Onion Skin mode on, if it is off.
17.
Draw the contours of the broken bottle pieces.
18.
Create a new frame again and draw the pieces flying away.
19.
Repeat it a few times and leave the last frame empty.
20.
Pick the color of the bottle from one of the previous frames using
the Color picker tool.
21.
Fill the pieces in all frames. It can be more convenient for you to
do this in the zoom mode.
22.
Add some small shadows below the pieces.
23.
Now you have the following sequence of frames. You can now play the
animation by tapping the Play button.
24.
To set the animation speed open the Animation drop-down menu and
select Setup.
25.
Set the 10th speed.
26.
In the same drop-down menu you can select Info and write the
animation title, author's name and comments. Tapping the "Show
title and author in film " checkbox will make this information
appear in the beginning of animation.
27.
Now, go to the Index screen by selecting the "Open" menu
command. There you will find your animation and its info.
28. Tap the Play button and enjoy the result in
the "Theater view".
